Place Names of Indigenuos Origin: The role of tupi in the appointment of Goiás places

This article aims to present some data on the relationship between place names of Indian origin in the state of Goiás and linguistic ecosystem that, in turn, involves the interplay between language (L), population (P) and territory (T). Therefore, they are considered the motivations underlying the choice of a name for a particular place like process from the perception of biological objects of the physical world and the cultural to the understanding and apprehension of these structured objects starting from the relationship of P on T reflected in L. The research methodology consists of documentary stamp, of qualitative approach, to data collection, since the establishment of the "places" is recorded in public documents and historical geographical survey.
