Apeiba tibourbou Aubl. - Malvaceae is a tree, known as a monkey brush, found in the tropics (Central and South America), in forests, preferably forests and capoeiras. The objective of this work was to perform morphological and anatomical study of leaves of this species. Samples of fertile branches were collected from individuals, native (Serra Dourada - Mossâmedes, Go.) And cultivated (Goiânia, GO) at the Instituto do Trópico Subúmido (ITS) - PUC Goiás. Freehand cuts and detachment of the epidermis were performed. The epidermal lining, the mesophyll organization, and the vascular system were analyzed. The petiole varies its anatomical structure: proximal region elliptic contour, circular medial and distal plane convex. The epidermis is united with cells of varied shapes and rectilinear contours. The vascular system is collateral and bicolateral. The mesophyll is dorsiventral with collecting cells, idioblasts with drusen, cavities and mucilaginous channels.
