Abstract

The social entrepreneurship represents the application of innovative and sustainable practices aimed at solving social problems, combining positive impact and organizational sustainability, and considering the importance of fundraising to ensure the continuity of actions and expand the reach of initiatives, this research has the following general objective: to identify the main fundraising initiatives used by socially entrepreneurial organizations in Brazil. Specifically, it seeks to: conceptualize what social entrepreneurship is, highlighting the main areas and purposes in which these institutions operate; present the main strategies applied to fundraising and generating social impact in Brazil; exemplify the most relevant organizations that operate in social entrepreneurship in the context of Goiás. The research aims to answer the question: how do socially entrepreneurial organizations in Goiás structure fundraising and other support strategies to achieve their goals and expand their social impact? As a methodological procedure, this is descriptive-exploratory research with a comparative approach between two events that represent fundraising on social entrepreneurship, carried out in two phases, the first being a literature review on the subject; and the second: field research. Finally, the results demonstrate that social entrepreneurship contributes to strengthening solidarity actions in Goiás and in Brazil.
